The Government of Sonora is that of a electoral monarchy with a decentralized government where everyone is allowed and encouraged to participate in workings and functions of the day to day and contribute to the state. The Imperial Council is the official legislature and routine meetings are called upon convenience. As an independent state, we exercise our rights to freedom of speech, religious expression, freedom of sexual orientation, etc. We are a micronation that seeks to carry on the idea of being a sovereign state and focusing on progressing our nation forward.

Territory of Sonora - Former capital and seat of government of Costa Dorada, the grandfather predecessor to Sonora. Now currently occupied by non-citizens, the residence is de facto claimed by the Sonoran government and area around it claimed as part of the territory in the form of a park.

Territory of Carquinez - Named after the body of water that it sits on the shores of, this territory comprises a strip of land, including a pier and recreational area. It has no place for occupational or business purposes however it does serve as a potential maritime point.
